A Sticky Night of Love A Sticky Night of Love

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars October 3, 2004

WELL, MY HEAD A SPODE

Very nice; easily on par with the work of Neil "Trapezoid" Cicierega or Andrew "I made French Erotic Film, bitch" Kepple. My biggest complaint is that there's simply TOO MUCH CRAP going on at once. I had to go through almost the entire movie frame-by-frame to get everything (because I am a sad, lonely little boy with nothing better to do). It made it kind of hard to focus on one part specifically; all that stuff happening tore apart my concentration like a pack of angry, ravenous wombats (with rabies). Then again, maybe that was your intention. The content I could make out was funny, especially Gendo's fishbike and lyric choice. The song, however, was freaking fantastic. If I could choose only one song to listen to for the rest of my existence, well... I would have to pick "Radar Love" by Golden Earring, but "Shining Collection" would be at least eighth or ninth on my list. Keep up the good work!

Well, I thought it was good.

Even if FatboySlim613 did not. Truly, it is a shame that such an obviously great mind as his did not approve of your flash. How will it ever garner respect among 15-year-old AOL users now? That aside, I very much enjoyed it. I loved the addictive, bouncy, endless song, and I was especially impressed by the smoothness of the animation. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the fact that the characters are cute; the only people who would take points off because of that are guys too insecure in their masculinity to enjoy anything but mindless violence (which this site already has in abundance). It's in the same vein as you your "Badger" flash, though it looks a bit more professional. That's not to say anything bad about the infamous flash loop, but rather as a testament to how well-done this one is. Hope to see more goofy song loops in the future!

Now, to listen to it for the 789th time.

A Tour A Tour

I wanted to play pong!

It's great that you considered the boredom of modem users and everything, but those of us with high-speed connections didn't even get a chance to score a single point before it loaded! :-( Seriously though, GREAT job. The music was cool, the animation was smooth and mixed well with everything else, and it showed a huge amount of creativity. I was most impressed by how well you synched the animation to the music. I have only two suggestions: leave audio credits and allow users to play pong AFTER the movie is loaded. :-)

haha, you're not missing much. I literally wrote it in like 5 minutes. It's impossible to win.
Thanks for the good review, too :)

Road Blocks Road Blocks

I win, brother! I win! I win! I win!

This is a deceptively simple game that took me more than an hour to complete (once I got the strategy down, it started to get easy). The biggest problems were the music (thank you very much for including the option to turn that damn loop off) and the stupidly simple "tutorial" levels that pop up in the beginning and every time you include a new special block. one level might be fine, but if someone couldn't figure out they work after that, I have to wonder how they managed to turn their computer on. Other than that, the graphics were okay and I enjoyed the somewhat satisfying animation when I finished a level. Nice work.

A FF FlashRPG A FF FlashRPG

The best Final Fantasy RPG flash I've ever seen.

Though I have seen some pretty crappy ones, let me tell you. This was a decent simulation of the real thing (I almost felt like I was playing FF6 for a while). It's got great sprite rips, animation, music, and interesting characters and bosses (AOL is the source of all evil); It's only problem was that it was a bit too short and a bit too easy. I understand that it would exceed the Newgrounds size limit if it were made much larger, but it could become immersive if you found a way to lenghten it. I hope this is made into a series, perhaps culminating in a battle to the death with a demonically possessed Bill Gates or something.

Final Fantasy Barry 2 Final Fantasy Barry 2

Good, but not great.

It's got a complex battle system (for a flash game), which is nice, and if I had the time, I could really get immersed in it. However, there are several things that hold it back from being the stand-out flash that it could be. First, the graphics look kind of goofy. Either take a few art classes or get someone else to do it. Second, random encounters happen far too often, and since the enemies seem to level up with you, it really seems pointless to fight when you don't have to (the game would be impossible if you tried to fight everyone who attacked). If you added an option for battlefield healing, and maybe a few more tweaks, the game would be much more enjoyable. Not bad for a 16-year-old, though.
